Job Description

Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County. We are currently recruiting for a Clinician III (LE) position within our Child & Adolescent program. This position works with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder providing individuals with access to needed services and supports necessary to meeting basic needs. Job Responsibilities Provides individual, family, and group counseling and psychotherapy with children and adolescents. Conduct assessments, evaluations, service planning, and diagnosis of the population. Monitors progress, service delivery, physical and mental stability, and satisfaction by providing service to all individuals on assigned caseload. Other duties as assigned. Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm; Skills and Qualifications Ability to treat co-occurring disorders, including knowledge of group counseling techniques, family systems, and motivational interviewing. Ability to prepare a comprehensive recovery-oriented treatment plan according to agency guidelines. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of assessment, therapeutic and outcome measures in areas of clinical focus. One year of work experience with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder required. Valid driver's license is required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Master's Degree in a human services field required Resident in Counseling, Resident in Marriage & Family, Licensed Eligible required DMV record must be submitted with application.
