Bridges and Boundaries Counseling Services is hiring for a Clinical Mental Health Therapist - W2 employee positions available part time or full time. We listen to the needs of our staff and offer a healthy work environment with emphasis on work/home balance. We pay for every hour you work. We trust our clinicians to do work they are proud of without micromanagement or excessive oversight. Clinicians have input into their schedule and we offer flexibility as needed. Paid leave is available to all employees. Associate level employees receive free on site supervision from an LMHC which is considered work time and is compensated as such. Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Vision insurance Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay ​ The Details Job title Mental Health Counselor Reports to Owner/ Clinical Supervisor Mini Job Description Hiring licensed counselors to provide mental health counseling to children, teens, and adults as part of a growing psychotherapy practice. The position can be either part time or full time with a range of 15-32 client contact hours per week where at least half the hours are after after 3pm or on Saturday. The position pays $33.00-$45.00 per client contact hour plus $20 for administrative hours. For full time hours this equates to between $65,000 and $85,000 per year. ​ Duties and responsibilities Counseling Assess and diagnose new clients at intake Develop an individualized treatment plan for each client Provide interventions and referrals consistent with each client's treatment plan. Participate in case consultation and supervision to ensure continuity throughout the practice. Documentation Write brief notes and treatment plans using concurrent documentation in EHR software. Cultural Competencies Utilize language that is respectful of client and family preferences. Maintain balance between family requests and client goals. Provide psychoeducation to client and families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and child development. Remain objective regarding cultural or family norms including religious preference, family make up, and other practices. Competency and support for LGBTQIA+ issues as they pertain to individuals and families.
Qualifications Required:
Counselor must be licensed to provide mental health care in the state of Washington (LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, etc.). Associate level license are encouraged to apply. Trauma-focused theoretical orientation. Enthusiasm for working with children as young as 5 years old. More than half of your caseload will be children between 5 and 17 years old. Supervision and training provided.
Preferred:
Willingness or experience in long-term psychodynamic therapy Child Mental Health Specialist Experience providing counseling to children as young as 5 years old Familiarity with authoritative parenting practices and attachment styles.
Additional areas of interest include:
Specific modality certification such as TF-CBT, PCIT, EMDR, etc. Ability to work with parents to improve their impact on children's mental health Familiarity with ACEs Familiarity with public school Special Education system (IEP, 504, etc.) Experience working with marginalized populations Training and/or experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Desirable Soft Skills The ability to work independently to manage tasks, set priorities, and keep current on time sensitive duties. De-escalation skills including staying calm, personable, and authoritative in a variety of situations. Patience, especially with children, and playfulness, curiosity, and levity even in trying moments. Working conditions This is a new position and therefore there will be a slow build-up of the client caseload. Hours will start less and gradually increase to between 15-32 hours per week depending on the clinician's preference. At least half of the hours will be after school or weekend availability. Telehealth is offered to clients but the vast majority of your schedule must be worked in person at our Lacey office. Part-time administrative support available. Minimal independent scheduling, etc. is required. Building is ADA accessible. Compensation includes $33.00-$45.00 per billable hour for fully licensed clinicians. 1 hour of sick leave for every 20 hours worked. Ongoing clinical supervision and staffing offered weekly. CEU allotment of $250.00 per year payable to the institution providing the continuing education. Plus 1.5 hours of in house CEUs offered per month. Medical benefits are through Regence for medical and pharmacy and through Guardian for dental and vision. Employer pays 50% of monthly premiums for the employee. Additional benefits include matching 401K, life insurance, and more.
