Job Summary:
Student Support and Well-Being Coordinator Bellin College is seeking a dedicated Student Support and Well-Being Coordinator to promote an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment. This position plays a key role in supporting student success by coordinating disability accommodations, developing and delivering mental health and well-being programming, and providing individualized support to students navigating academic, personal, and health-related challenges. The Coordinator ensures institutional compliance with ADA and Section 504 requirements, guides students through the accommodations process, and collaborates with faculty and staff to implement approved accommodations. Additionally, this role leads campus-wide wellness initiatives, mental health promotion, and prevention efforts, while identifying emerging trends and partnering with community resources to enhance student well-being. Serving as a central point of support, the Coordinator works closely with students in need, provides referrals and follow-up, assists with crisis response, and participates actively on the CARE Team. This position collaborates across campus to promote inclusion, belonging, and holistic student support, while upholding confidentiality, professional standards, and Bellin College's mission and values.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education -
Licensures:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Student Affairs, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Three to six years of experience in disability services, mental health/well‑being programming, student affairs, case management, or related work in a higher education setting preferred. Experience implementing ADA/504 accommodations strongly preferred. Experience with crisis response, student support, or behavioral intervention preferred.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of ADA/504 compliance, disability documentation, and accommodation best practices. Understanding of student development theory, mental health concerns, trauma‑informed practices, and well‑being promotion. Strong interpersonal, communication, and mediation skills. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Ability to collaborate across departments and build trusting student relationships.
