Mental Health Intern:
Our Mental Health Internship Program is designed to complement your academic coursework by providing hands-on, in-person clinical experience. Here, you will gain confidence and professional growth while managing your own client caseload in a supportive and structured environment. Interning with Catholic Charities offers the unique opportunity to engage with a diverse client base, including those who may have limited access to mental health care due to financial constraints.
What You Will Do:
Provide in-office psychotherapy and counseling under the supervision of experienced clinicians. Maintain case documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Collaborate with a dedicated clinical team and benefit from direct mentorship and supervision. Participate in training and discussions aimed at developing culturally competent and empathetic care practices.

Commitment Details:
Internship duration of two consecutive semesters or ideally a one-year commitment. Expected availability: 10 to 24 hours per week during office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM).
Start Date:
Spring 2027 and Fall 2027
Required Qualifications:
Enrollment in a master's degree program in Social Work or a counseling-related field. Strong interpersonal skills; a collaborative team player committed to forming impactful relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus but not required
