Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Professional Therapist to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral services team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic support to individuals with diverse needs. Your expertise will help foster positive change, promote emotional well-being, and enhance overall quality of life for our clients within a residential setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference through innovative therapy techniques and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to determine individual treatment needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on mental health, behavioral management, trauma recovery (including PTSD care), and social skills development. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management strategies, ensuring safety and stability for clients. Collect and document detailed medical records, progress notes, and treatment data in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including case managers, educators, medical professionals, and families—to coordinate care plans and support services. Requirements Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification preferred. Strong skills in crisis intervention, conflict management, and behavioral therapy techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity. Excellent communication skills for effective individual/group counseling sessions and case management coordination.
