Schedule:
Up to 40 hours
- Flexible/Daily 8 hour shift
- Client hours from Mon to Sun 8 am to 8 pm All required trainings, meetings, and certifications will be scheduled and compensated in compliance with applicable wage and hour laws, including overtime where applicable.
- Typically scheduled on Wednesdays from 9 am to 12 pm.

Position Summary In general, the Behavioral Case Manager (CM) position is the glue that connects all of the client services together. They are responsible for ensuring the provider and client services do not break down, as the CM has an in-depth understanding of the client, the provider, and the ACS resources available if quick emergency responses are needed. CMs have a large role in summarizing client information, developing client and staff training documents, and facilitating staff training. They also take a lead role in increasing the client's access to preferred activities and reinforcement (outings, money, people, food, etc.) by navigating through all the road bumps that create barriers for the client to simply get access to what they want. Essential Functions Serve as the primary communication lead for an assigned caseload, coordinating with clients, stakeholders, families, residential providers, ACS staff, and outside agencies. Spend approximately 40% of time in the office and 60% in the field to support case oversight, training, and relationship management. Conduct case reviews, research, and analysis; translate findings into actionable plans and recommendations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all client information, including behavioral changes, medical updates, and environmental factors impacting care. Provide professional, timely written and verbal communication with company leadership, staff, regional centers, providers, and families. Attend and actively participate in required meetings, including IDT meetings, company meetings, and client-specific team meetings; advocate for client needs. Lead and support Behavior Technicians through training, direction, feedback, and modeling of appropriate behavioral interventions. Develop, implement, and maintain behavioral programs and documentation (e.g., ISPs, BIPs, PRs, treatment plans, training materials, and data systems). Collect, analyze, interpret, and graph behavioral data to monitor progress and guide treatment decisions. Provide training on behavioral principles, strategies, and crisis response to staff, families, and providers. Support consumers in homes and community settings as needed, including coaching, supervision, and occasional crisis response. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Maintains dependable and regular attendance, including availability to work scheduled hours, attend required meetings, and meet the operational needs of the assigned caseload, consistent with applicable leave laws and reasonable accommodation requirements. Required Education/Professional Certifications Bachelor's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, organizational leadership, or a related field Required certifications will be provided and compensated in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws. Certification status may impact an employee's ability to work in client homes. (i.e., CPR, PCM, Ukeru, PMO, etc.) Requirements At least 12 months of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Must be 18 years of age or older. Any post-offer medical inquiries or screenings will be conducted in compliance with the ADA and California FEHA and will be job-related and consistent with business necessity. Background checks will be conducted in compliance with the California Fair Chance Act, including individualized assessment, notice, and opportunity to respond where required. Possession of a valid driver's license with driving record meeting company insurance carrier, fleet eligibility standards and proof of insurance. Required certifications will be provided and compensated in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws. Certification status may impact an employee's ability to work in client homes. (i.e., CPR, PCM, Ukeru, PMO, etc.) Must have access to reliable transportation for consistent travel. Must be able to travel by car as needed for job duties. Regularly use electronic devices such as phones, computers, tablets, or other screens. Comply with company dress, hygiene, and professional presentation standards consistent with client safety and workplace professionalism. Preferred Experience 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Prior experience in implementing behavior programs and managing crisis behavior. Current Professional Crisis Management certification and/or previous experience with crisis management programs. Clinical Experience Staff must document sessions and progress per the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Regional Center requirements. Must complete agency-mandated training to maintain competencies. Working Conditions / Physical Demands This position requires frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 75 lbs., with occasional lifting of items over 76 lbs. The role involves frequent standing, walking, sitting, typing or handling materials, outward reaching, reaching above shoulder height, and bending. Climbing, crawling, and squatting or kneeling are required occasionally. The employee will frequently push or pull loads up to 25 lbs., and may occasionally be required to push or pull weights ranging from 26-100 lbs. All physical interventions are conducted strictly in accordance with company-approved safety training protocols (e.g., PCM, Ukeru) and are designed to minimize risk of injury to clients and staff.
