The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health, social work, and clinical counseling, with a focus on supporting children and adolescents. As a School Based Clinician, you will deliver evidence-based interventions, conduct assessments, and collaborate with school staff and families to promote positive developmental and emotional outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working within a dynamic educational environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments of students to identify mental health needs, behavioral challenges, and developmental concerns. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment-based therapy for children, and behavioral management techniques. Implement crisis intervention strategies to address urgent mental health issues and ensure student safety. Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and families to develop personalized case management plans that support student well-being. Facilitate social skills groups, psychoeducation workshops, and family counseling sessions to foster healthy relationships and emotional resilience. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and adhere to medical documentation standards using appropriate social work documentation tools. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans for students with complex needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities. Engage in ongoing professional development related to adolescent development, trauma-informed care, cultural diversity counseling, and evidence-based practices in behavioral health. Requirements Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), or equivalent credential. Experience working with children and adolescents within school settings or community programs preferred. Proficiency in crisis management, crisis intervention, and conflict management techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and adherence to HIPAA standards for patient confidentiality. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), diagnostic evaluation procedures, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable. Strong skills in case management, data collection, behavioral therapy strategies, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or PTSD care needs. Excellent communication skills coupled with cultural competence to effectively serve diverse student populations.
