Children's Learning Center Responsibilities:

The Department of Psychiatry at Stamford Health is seeking an experienced full-time psychotherapist to join our outpatient behavioral health service at Stamford Hospital. In 2023, the Department of Psychiatry launched an outpatient behavioral health service to provide comprehensive psychiatric care. The current outpatient team consists of two psychiatrists and three licensed clinical social workers/psychotherapists. Perform intake assessments for new adult patients 18 years of age or older Provide direct treatment services to patients within the clinics utilizing appropriate modalities including individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Work closely and collaboratively with the program psychiatrist. Participate in interdisciplinary diagnostic and treatment planning conferences, including case presentations, and make recommendations regarding the needs of the patient from a social work perspective. Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

Masters in Social Work from an accredited school of social work. Current CT licensure as an LCSW. 2+ years of experience with outpatient psychotherapy preferred. Group therapy experience strongly preferred. Cognitive behavioral therapy experience strongly preferred. Good interpersonal verbal/written communication skills.
