You will provide evidence-based psychotherapy, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and develop personalized treatment plans to support clients' mental health and well-being. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) to determine appropriate treatment strategies. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Implement crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during urgent situations. Provide specialized counseling for persons who have been struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Manage medical documentation with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate medical records and timely updates. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans, including social work and special education professionals. Experience Valid state licensure as a Licensed Therapist or equivalent credential with experience in psychotherapy and mental health counseling. Specifically a LCSW (fully credentialed) or a LMHC (fully credentialed). Proven expertise in working with families and individuals with substance use disorders and or mental health disorders. Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management techniques. Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) within inpatient or outpatient settings. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA. Background in providing services across various settings including hospital environments, clinics, outpatient programs, or inpatient facilities. Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles relevant to behavioral health treatment plans. Strong skills in patient assessment, data collection for clinical research purposes, and documentation using CPT coding when applicable. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics; familiarity with special education programs is a plus. Ability to utilize motivational interviewing techniques and social work principles effectively during therapy sessions.
