Health Insurance Dental Insurance Health Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Professional to provide behavioral health services within a correctional healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing quality mental health care to an underserved population. Key QualificationsEducation Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or a related mental health discipline required. Licensure & Certification Current, unrestricted state license as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Psychologist Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Must maintain all required licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements. Preferred Experience Previous counseling experience in a correctional, forensic, or behavioral health setting preferred but not required. Required Skills Knowledge of CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based therapeutic modalities Strong assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong team-oriented approach to patient care Effective crisis intervention and de-escalation skills Essential ResponsibilitiesTherapeutic Interventions Provide individual and group therapeutic interventions tailored to patients' mental health needs. Assessments & Evaluations Conduct psychosocial assessments and mental health intake evaluations. Identify mental health conditions and formulate treatment recommendations. Risk Assessment & Crisis Intervention Perform risk assessments and implement appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services during behavioral health emergencies. Behavioral Health Consultation Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and correctional staff regarding patient care and treatment planning. Care Coordination Coordinate behavioral health services and assist patients transitioning back into the community. Facilitate continuity of care and referrals to appropriate resources. Treatment Planning Develop, implement, and maintain individualized treatment plans. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as appropriate. Team Collaboration Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews. Contribute to treatment planning and care strategy discussions. Program Development Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral health programs and clinical initiatives. Staff Training & Orientation Participate in and support staff training, education, and orientation activities. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation. Prepare treatment records, reports, and other required documentation in compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Infection Control & Safety Follow standard precautions and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Adhere to facility safety and infection control procedures. Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned to support behavioral health operations and facility needs.
