Days Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center, Indiana's first community mental health center, provides comprehensive care for emotional and behavioral problems, including severe mental illness and substance abuse. The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including several outreach centers as well as clinic- and community-based services. FLSA Status Non-Exempt About School-Based Services The School-Based Services team provides behavioral health support directly within partnered schools, offering accessible, trauma-informed care to students who may be struggling with mental health, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Our mission is to meet students where they are, reduce barriers to care, and collaborate with educators and families to support academic success, emotional well-being, and long-term stability. As part of Eskenazi Health's Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), our team is committed to delivering integrated, evidence-based treatment rooted in the Recovery Model. Where You Fit In As a Clinician - School-Based (CCBHC) , you will perform a variety of individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based practices. This position manages a caseload of clients, identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative, and case management needs, engaging other team members in meeting these needs as indicated. What To Expect A key aspect of this role includes building strong relationships with students, families, educators, and clinical partners. You will conduct assessments, create treatment plans, deliver therapy within the school environment, and intervene during times of crisis. Your work ensures students have personalized, strengths-based care that promotes their academic, social, and emotional well-being. You will also support ongoing care coordination, skill development, and safety planning while maintaining adherence to CCBHC requirements. Am I Qualified? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nYoYHZh4t4&t=189s Benefits Medical Insurance DentalVision Competitive Retirement Benefits PTO EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Plus additional employee perks Essential Functions and Responsibilities Embraces, understands, and operates under the Recovery Model, including AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) and the spirit of motivational interviewing (MI), and follows the levels of accountability Completes biopsychosocial evaluation (BPSE), integrating information gathered by the team and developing the integrated diagnostic summary; based upon the BPSE and in consultation with the treatment team, prepares Clinical Treatment plans, dates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, and consults with client, family, and treatment team throughout the process Manages a caseload of clients identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative and case management needs; engages other team members in meeting these needs as indicated Performs a variety of individual, family and group therapeutic interventions (as demonstrated competency allows) utilizing evidence-based practices Provides quality case management services as indicated by client need Monitors client progress and reflects this in the clinical documentation Evaluates and updates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, consulting with client family and team in this process Completes documentation of activities and written reports in an accurate and timely manner Identifies community resources and assists clients in their access to these resources Provides indirect service to external agencies and community through consultation and education Interprets and applies service and billing procedures according to client needs; completes billing according to guidelines for timeliness and accuracy Alters activities and behaviors to reflect and ensure adequate care which is appropriate to the age of the clients served Advocates for clients to ensure access to needed services which include developing community relationships and resources Meets agency standards of timely completion of all documentation Meets agency standards of client service hours Demonstrates commitment to professional growth by actively participating in clinical supervision Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of and ability to implement a strengths-based, community treatment model Strong interpersonal skills with ability to be both clear and concise in written and verbal communications Demonstrates solid knowledge of psychiatric/addiction diagnoses and understanding of their impact on behavior and all life domains Demonstrates solid knowledge of psychotropic medications and their uses and side effects Willingness and ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team Ability to use age-appropriate communication skills Ability to interpret and apply complex directives, information, and regulations Crisis intervention skills All individuals working for the Opioid Treatment Program must have experience and training to safely manage therapeutic services to patients and to provide therapeutic services to patients receiving Opioid treatment medication Must Meet the Following Basic Competencies ifApplicable:
