Aug 26, 2026 Job Description We are seeking a licensed, Master's-level Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Behavioral Clinician (e.g., School Psychologist, Behaviorist, Adjustment Counselor, or School Social Worker) to join our SEL Department. This role is designed for a clinician with a strong background in behaviorism and data collection who excels at thinking flexibly and working within multidisciplinary teams. In this role, you will case-manage students with significant behavioral and emotional regulation needs, many of whom present with complex learning, medical, and communication profiles.
Key Responsibilities:
Behavioral Case Management & Crisis Support
Plan & Implement:
Co-create, implement, and monitor intensive behavior support plans.
Data-Driven Insights:
Supervise behavioral data collection and conduct regular student observations.
Staff Training:
Train and coach front-line staff on effectively implementing behavior plans.
On-Call Coverage:
Function within the Support Team to provide "on-the-floor" behavioral coverage and utilize Safety Care de-escalation interventions.
Group Facilitation & Instruction:
SEL & Health Curriculum:
Plan and deliver evidence-based SEL classroom groups and health classes aligned with Massachusetts curriculum frameworks and CASEL's five core competencies.
Interdisciplinary Instruction:
Lead groups independently or co-facilitate alongside other disciplines (e.g., Speech-Language Pathologists) to meet diverse student needs.
Collaboration & Consultation:
Multidisciplinary Teamwork:
Partner closely with special education teachers, speech therapists (SLPs), OTs, PTs, and fellow counselors.
Wraparound Communication:
Coordinate student programming and needs across school staff, families, the Educational Leadership Team, and outside providers (including private BCBAs).
Professional Development:
Collaborate with administrative teams and the SEL Coordinator to design and deliver staff training on behavioral interventions. Clinical Assessment & IEP Services
Risk Assessments:
Conduct and document clinical risk assessments, ensuring timely communication with families and administration.
IEP Services:
Provide individual counseling, consultation, and social-emotional assessments/observations as determined by the TEAM process.
