Job Description

Behavioral Health Clinician 2200 Gar Hwy, Swansea, MA 02777 Full-time Full-time Exciting Opportunity in Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration At Swansea Pediatrics, we are committed to making behavioral health an integral part of our primary care services. Our primary care providers will work hand in hand with our integrated behavioral health clinician, to help the children and families we care for in our practice. The successful candidate will join our clinical provider team to deliver fully integrated behavioral health services to our patients. Working within our family-centered medical home, the behavioral health clinician will: Provide consultative support to primary care providers and clinical staff Complete real-time, initial consultations, and scheduled follow-up care as needed Deliver effective, evidence-based, interventions to help children and families achieve targeted behavioral goals Flexible schedule with early evening availability
  • Maintain up to date documentation in the practice's electronic health record
  • Actively participate in team meetings, and professional development that supports the practices' integrated health care model
Required and Preferred Experience:
  • A Doctoral or Master's Degree in a mental health field, from an accredited graduate program is required
  • Active license for independent practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island (Licensed Psychologist, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) is required
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is required
  • Experience with behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, motivational interviewing, and brief, solution-focused interventions is highly desirable
  • Candidates should have a proven record of collaborative service delivery, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the flexibility and adaptability required to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, busy medical practice.
  • Experience in pediatric primary care or other pediatric medical setting is preferred This role provides significant opportunities to participate in high quality, CE-accredited, clinical education, through our partnership with Boston Children's Hospital, and the Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's, at no cost.
