Hawthorn Children's Psychiatric Hospital uses the Sanctuary Model to guide our interactions with our teammates and the care we provide to our consumers in order to promote healing, safety, and nonviolence. This is accomplished by following the foundations of the Sanctuary Model in order to provide trauma informed and responsive care. Responsibilities - What you'll do The clinician is a member of the Social Service Department who provides individual, group, and family therapy as well as case management for children and adolescents ages 6 to 18 who are admitted to Hawthorn for the treatment of mental disorders and trauma. This team member will play an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide direct clinical services to our consumers and families as they work to reach their treatment goals. Qualifications - All you need for success The qualified candidate will have a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited university. This successful candidate will also possess Missouri licensure (LMSW or LCSW) or will commit to working toward licensure during their employment. Opportunities for Professional Licensure Supervision is available. Knowledge and expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and other trauma-focused approaches preferred. Job Details - More reasons to love this position This position reports to the Inpatient Program Treatment Coordinator and Chief of Clinical Services. The schedule is generally 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, with the ability to flex schedule as needed. This could be necessary to accommodate family treatment sessions, potentially one evening during the week to meet the needs of patients and families.
