  • Practice Manager Position Summary FMRC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide behavioral health services within our integrated healthcare practice.
The Behavioral Health Specialist will support patients experiencing mental health, emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges while collaborating with medical providers to promote whole-person health and wellness. This position offers the opportunity to build a client caseload in a collaborative healthcare environment while maintaining flexibility through a commission-based independent contractor model.   • Flexible scheduling and autonomy in managing appointments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Services
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including:
  • Individual Counseling
  • Family Therapy
  • Couples Counseling
  • Group Therapy
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Behavioral Health Consultations
  • Provide support for individuals experiencing:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Transitions
  • Stress Management
  • Relationship Challenges
  • Chronic Illness Adjustment
  • Substance Use and Recovery Support
  • Monitor treatment progress and adjust care plans as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record system. Integrated Care Collaboration
  • Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, wellness practitioners, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and referrals.
  • Support patients with behavioral health needs that impact physical health outcomes.
  • Coordinate referrals to community resources and specialty mental health services when needed. Community and Wellness Programming
  • Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups.
  • Participate in health fairs, wellness events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of integrated wellness programs addressing mental, emotional, and physical health. Professional Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
  • Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements.
  • Follow all ethical and legal standards of clinical practice.
  • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities. Qualifications Required
  • Current North Carolina Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
  • Professional liability insurance.
  • Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred
  • Experience working in integrated healthcare, primary care, behavioral health, or community health settings.
  • Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Training in trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, or other evidence-based approaches.
  • Experience facilitating groups and workshops. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills.
  • Ability to establish therapeutic rapport with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of community resources and referral networks.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and patient-centered care. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods during counseling sessions.
  • Ability to use computers and electronic health records efficiently.
