Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician III to join our multidisciplinary team. The Behavioral Health Clinician III delivers direct care, assessments, and therapeutic services to individuals experiencing acute mental health and substance use challenges. Working within a collaborative, team-based environment, the clinician provides ongoing care management and clinical support through comprehensive assessment, care planning, implementation, and continuous evaluation of each individual's needs. Duties Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and risk evaluations for patients identified as having safety concerns risk. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, family, and treatment team. Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using appropriate clinical modalities. Participate in daily multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and support discharge planning. Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses, and support staff to ensure cohesive care delivery. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed. Maintains a working knowledge of North Carolina state statutes related to the involuntary commitment process. Document clinical interactions and progress notes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Assist patients and families in understanding treatment goals, discharge plans, and referrals to outpatient services. Coordinates and facilitates safe discharge plans by connecting individuals to appropriate community resources and support services. Provides guidance, training, and coaching to new staff and interns in accordance with established practice standards and program guidelines. Participates in the development of therapeutic unit programming aimed at improving patient outcomes. Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or other human services related field. Currently licensed in the state of
North Carolina:
