Pay Transparency:
The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. The Child and Adolescent Outpatient Behavioral Health program provides evidenced-based and patient-centered mental health treatment serving individuals ages 5 to 17 and their families.
Job Overview:
The Sr. Primary Therapist will provide direct clinical practice in the areas of psychotherapy (individual, family and group), treatment planning, consumer education, advocacy, and coordination of care.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's in Social Work or Counseling in Psychology or related field Three to five years of clinical experience with psychiatric disorder target client population and the dual-diagnosed target client population preferred Group work, individual and family counseling skills are imperative Experience with child and adolescent populations Must have completed the coursework for Pre-vocational Services in
Jersey Preferred:
Partial Hospital Program experience
Certifications and Licenses Required:
License in Social Work from NJ Board of Social Work Examiners or a License in Counseling from the NJ Board of Marriage and Family Therapists Must possess and maintain a valid N.J.
State Driver's License Scheduling Requirements:

Day Shift Essential Functions:
Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, facilitate intakes, complete biopsychosocial assessments, co-construct treatment planning, initiate treatment interventions and provide crisis intervention. Perform clinical case management and complete outreaches in the community when appropriate. Statistics will be completed as required All documentation is completed in compliance with the requirements set by the NJ Division of Mental Health Services, Department of Health and The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations The Social Worker will participate in staff meetings, trainings, continuing education and will take an active role in Performance Improvement Projects The Social Worker is responsible for identifying and reporting safety issues such as the patient's safety towards self and/or others, and hazardous environments (e,g, damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc) Perform other duties as assigned by the department.
