The PSR Specialist performs a variety of functions in PSR (Psycho Social Rehabilitation), including facilitating PSR Integrated Group and performing Individual Psychiatric Rehabilitation Interventions with HopeWorks' Behavioral Health Clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Facilitate PSR integrated group activities, including preparing and presenting Recovery Classes. Provide individual support through support and encouragement in Individual Psychiatric Rehabilitation Interventions. Complete Psychiatric Rehabilitation assessments with PSR group members, identifying member strengths, goals, and needs. Perform Psychiatric Rehabilitation skills training and resources utilization training. 5. Complete any necessary documentation as per agency time frames and guidelines. Documentation includes progress notes, group notes, and PSR assessments. 6. Coordinate with all parts of a PSR member's treatment team to ensure complete service delivery. 7. Participate in meal planning and preparation in coordination with Program Manager, PSR staff, and group members. Work with PSR staff and members to create the monthly PSR calendar and provide input and feedback on suggested program activities, schedule, and wellness activities.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may be changed based on agency needs.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or human service field. At least one year experience providing services to individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. OR B.A. degree in another field AND at least two years of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. Current CPR/First Aid training/certification or ability to obtain within three months of employment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Basic understanding of and interest in issues related to mental illness, substance use, and homelessness. Strong written and spoken communication skills. Ability to interact with individuals effectively in one on one and group settings. Basic computer skills, including word. As a recipient of federal funding, we drug screen pre and post-employment which includes marijuana.
