The Residential Behavioral Health Assessor plays a critical role in evaluating individuals' mental health and behavioral conditions to inform treatment planning and support services. This position involves conducting comprehensive assessments using standardized tools and clinical interviews to identify psychological, emotional, and social factors affecting clients' well-being. The assessor collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate referrals, contributing to improved client outcomes. By maintaining detailed and confidential records, the Behavioral Health Assessor supports continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards. Ultimately, this role is essential in guiding effective interventions that promote recovery and enhance quality of life for diverse populations.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field. Required Licensed Social Worker Experience conducting clinical assessments or evaluations in a behavioral health setting. Knowledge of mental health disorders, diagnostic criteria, and assessment methodologies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in behavioral health practice.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and elderly clients. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management. Training in trauma-informed care and culturally competent assessment practices.Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments through interviews, observations, and standardized screening tools. Gather and analyze client history, including medical, psychological, and social information relevant to mental health status. Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and case managers to develop individualized care plans. Document assessment findings accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines. Provide timely referrals to appropriate mental health services and community resources based on assessment outcomes. Monitor and update client progress and reassess as necessary to adjust care plans. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.Skills:
