Position Summary The P/T Clinician is responsible for evaluating and directing the care and supervision of residents in the Hope Harbor DMC Drug Medi-Cal Program. a
  • Assist in developing and finalizing ASAM assessments and Medical necessity notes b
  • Assist in developing the clinical treatment planning protocols c
  • Update and maintain preliminary authorizations requests roster. d
  • Review, prepare, organize, and submit clients' requests for authorization, if denied, make corrections and resubmit them to SAPC in the
SAGE-PCNX
software system, and follow up. d
  • Complete all required progress notes, confidentiality agreement, and other necessary paperwork in the
SAGE-PCNX
software system. e
  • All other duties assigned by Program Director and Clinical Supervisor.
Essential Functions Demonstrates experience and knowledge with designing evidence-based interventions. Demonstrates experience and knowledge of Drug Medical (DMC) program requirements. Demonstrates strong supervision skills. Demonstrates experience with individuals in a treatment setting. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Sets an appropriate image and role model that represents the image and work style that is reflective of The Salvation Army values and culture. Working Conditions Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift to 25 lbs. Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge & Abilities 1. Master's Degree in Social Work or related field and registered with BBS. 2. Licensed Clinical Counselor strongly preferred or be able to complete licensure. 3. At least 2 years' experience as a mental health professional serving the homeless population 4. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. 5. Previous management experience preferred. 6. Must have a valid drivers' license Must be able to pass a criminal background check. 1. Knowledge of
DMC/SAPC
regulations and requirements. 2. Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable law and regulations, including community care licensing regulations that apply to Residential Care Facilities for the Chronically Ill and Supportive Housing Program policies and procedures. 3. Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of client records. 4. Ability to direct the work of others. 5. Ability to recruit, hire, train, and evaluate qualified staff. 6.
