Job Description
Behavioral Health Clinician
Conducts and assists with Crisis Interventions, executing 1013/2013s and collaborating with local hospitals for placement.
Conducts Open Access Triage Screening & Assessments to existing and walk-in clients during office hours. Conducts Intake/Biopsychosocial assessments for those requesting services and who meet eligibility criteria for MH/SUD services.
Provides initial diagnosis (DSM-5); works with client to prepare a Treatment Plan based on assessment info, diagnoses, identified strengths, needs, preferences and resources to develop appropriate goals and objectives. Provides reauthorizations/updates as needed, via state CONNECT system.
Provides Crisis Intervention services: assesses level of risk & develops Safety Plan, Suicide Risk Assessment; Refers client to the appropriate level of care.
Completes and submits requests for authorization required by clients payer source or insurance plan. If needed, initiates, and submits 1013 and facilitates transfer to inpatient setting.
Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs.)Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and address any areas of needed improvement.
Participates in on-call rotation to provide after-hours coverage, via phone.
Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisor.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience providingASAM or substance use specific groups such as Dual Diagnosis, DBT, Seeking Safety.
Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.

At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides comprehensiveMH & SUD

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and eligibility to be licensed and two (2) years of supervised experience in the area of assignment or tow (2) years of experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 1 (HCP050) or position equivalent.Note:
Some position require licensure as an LMSW, LAPC, LCSW, or LPC in the state of Georgia.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Carelogic or other HER/EMR.Previous clinical experience working in Community Mental Health Care with SPMI, SUD, &/or Co-Occurring Disorders.Experience providingASAM or substance use specific groups such as Dual Diagnosis, DBT, Seeking Safety.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
