Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Behavioral Health Professional to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals across diverse age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will support clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, and other mental health challenges. You will play a key role in conducting assessments, implementing behavior management strategies, and delivering patient-centered care that promotes recovery and well-being. Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' behavioral health needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based interventions such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), crisis management, and behavior management techniques to support clients' progress. Monitor vital signs and perform medication administration in accordance with medical guidelines and HIPAA regulations to ensure safe patient care. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations effectively while maintaining safety for clients and staff. Collect, document, and maintain accurate medical records, behavioral data, and progress notes using secure electronic health record systems in compliance with HIPAA standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care strategies. Provide specialized support working with children, individuals with autism or developmental disabilities, and those experiencing PTSD or addiction challenges. Skills Strong experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies to handle emergency situations confidently. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and medical documentation practices. Expertise in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management plans, and behavior modification techniques. Ability to collect behavioral data accurately for ongoing assessment and treatment adjustments. Excellent communication skills for intake interviews, patient care coordination, and documentation within HIPAA guidelines. Demonstrated compassion for patients facing mental health challenges such as PTSD or addiction issues; experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
