Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, focusing on a variety of mental health issues. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The therapist will work collaboratively with clients to foster healing and personal growth. Duties Must be able to see a min of 5-10 clients if part-time, and commit to at least 1 year Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs. Provide psychotherapy using various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy. Engage in crisis intervention and management to support clients in acute distress. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and motivation for change. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Conduct intake assessments and case management for ongoing client support. Provide direct support to clients with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges. Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of mental health. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required. Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent credential is preferred. Experience working with children and families is highly desirable. Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate documentation. Knowledge of behavioral health practices including crisis management, behavior management, and addiction counseling. Experience in telehealth services is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment, and clinical documentation standards. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with autism, and those experiencing PTSD or chronic pain. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
