Job Description
Where You'll Work Dignity Health Medical Foundation established in 1993, is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation with care centers throughout California. Dignity Health Medical Foundation is an affiliate of Dignity Health
- one of the largest health systems in the nation
- with hospitals and care centers in California , Arizona and Nevada.
- Conduct initial intake assessment and evaluations, providing crisis intervention services when needed and assist in detection of high risk patients
- You're interacting with the patients throughout your day, so you'll be the eyes and ears to notice any difference in patient health and behavior.
- Offer linkages and referrals to appropriate services
- Work independently and are able to successfully be self directed
- Have a strong understanding of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment methods, adherence to the W & I Codes, and professional and ethical behavior at all times.
Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Current registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, Associate Clinical Social Worker, or Psychological Assistant. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in an appropriate behavioral science discipline You must possess the following knowledge,Skills & Abilities:
DSM 5. Psychology of children and adolescents. Cultural and ethnic diversities of clients. Community resources. Treatment interventions. Normal and abnormal psychology. Assessment skills and crisis intervention. Treatment planning and intervention skills. Ethical and legal issues. Billing and documentation requirements. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain an appropriate balance between direct client contact and documentation time. Adhere to all client confidentiality requirements and standards. Manage significant electronic paperwork functions necessary to support billing. Ability to manage the caseload and schedule to maximize productivity. Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations. Skills in building groups. Additionally, you will develop treatment/intervention plans with a multi-discipline team. Monitor for medication and treatment interventions, consultation, case management of children and adolescents, and linkage and referral services. Be able to travel to multiple sites as required- This will be a hybrid remote/in-office position.
