Job Description

Our organization is looking for a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist) that will oversee clinical services for our Short-Term Therapeutic Residential Program (STRTP). A portion of the time shall be dedicated to overseeing, supervising, reviewing and coordinating social work services for the STRTP as well as coordinating mental health services provided through contract with the behavioral health services agencies. Accurate Time Labor Distribution reports shall be maintained to accurately and precisely document the time spent in each function which meet Title 22, Medi-Cal, and all other pertinent contractual, regulatory and legal requirements. The Head of Service Social Worker shall be a minimum of 21 years of age, pass all background clearances, and shall meet the following qualifications: The Minimum Qualifications and Experience include the following: A Master's Degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school, as defined by the Department of Education, in social work or social welfare, marriage, family and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology. Preferred current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or LMFT or LPCC or Psychologist. Completion of at least three semester units or 100 days of field practice or experience in a public or private social services agency at the Master's Degree level. At least 9 semester units of coursework related to children and families or 18 months of experience working with children and families. At least three semester units working with minority populations, six months of experience working with minority populations; or six months in-service training working with minority populations within the first year of employment as a condition of employment. At least three semester units in child welfare or two years of experience in a public or private child welfare social services setting. Meet all educational and licensing standards required to provide Mental Health Services per our Behavioral Health Services contracts.
Requirements:
Possess a valid CA driver's license with no restrictions Proof of registration through the Board of Behavioral Science Must have and use well maintained personal vehicle and proof of insurance Ability to drive company and or private vehicle with proof of insurance while observing safety rules and legal driving guidelines and maintain acceptable DMV record Must pass all mandated security clearances, including but not limited to DMV, FBI, CACI, and DOJ prior to employment Must meet all training and agency compliance requirements for this position.
Duties:
Provide therapeutic services to all clients in the facility and is responsible for all documentation included with the therapeutic services. Coordinate with the Facility Administrator to review and approve all new admissions to the program. Supervise and approve the mental health services functions. Serve as the Head of Mental Health Services to ensure the quality, accuracy and reliability of mental health services. In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and Facility Administrator, develop policies and procedures concerning the social work and mental health services of the STRTP. Coordinate with the Chief Operating Officer and the Facility Administrator concerning the development, implementation and evaluation of the continuous quality improvement plan for the social work and mental health functions. Provide staff training as necessary to members of the STRTP and mental health programs. May be required to attend Child and Family Team meetings, Individualized Education Program or 504 meetings and other meetings as required.
