General Responsibility:
The Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician must provide assessment and evaluation services, crisis intervention for patients presenting to primary care appointments, formulate effective treatment plans and conduct individual, family, couples and/or group mental health and/or substance abuse treatment and counseling services in person as well as via Telehealth.
Specific Responsibilities :
Provision of outpatient counseling services to children, adolescents, adults and their families. The Clinician works as an integral member of the Health Center Care team. Document and maintain all clinical interventions in the electronic medical record. Position includes one evening per week. Each Behavioral Health Clinician will be responsible to share in on-call on a rotating basis.
Qualifications :
Candidates must have a Masters in Social Work and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a therapist. Must possess an unrestricted social work license to practice in RI (LCSW or LICSW). Additional licensure/credentialing with LCDP or CADC preferred. Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
Special Qualifications :
Proficient computer skills. EMR experience desirable. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service and communications skills required. Must have excellent written and oral skills. Must have good interpersonal skills and compassion for patients. Possess the ability to work with individuals with diverse education, economic and cultural backgrounds. Must work well independently and as a team member. Demonstrate an understanding of everyone's experiences, every day. Ensuring the delivery of services that recognizes and respects that every moment matters.
