DayJob Description The Excel Center Drop-In Center is designed to provide free childcare for the students of The Excel Center. The drop-in center is available when students are studying onsite or are in class and serves children up to age 12. The Childcare Attendant assists in ensuring the safe and caring management of all the children entrusted to the drop off center. This includes monitoring children in the center, serving snacks, keeping the center clean and facilitating learning opportunities for the children while in their care. Additionally, the Attendant will assist in keeping parents informed of policies and procedures at the center. All employees are expected to uphold a positive work environment that follows Goodwill's Amazing Customer Experience (ACE) culture, Values, and Mission in everything they do and every interaction they have with coworkers, clients, customers and management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Facilitates hands-on interactive learning experiences working with children directly. 2. Assists in the registration process of children. 3. Updates and ensures accuracy of student files. 4. Maintains regular communication with parents regarding services, enrollment, scheduling or routine changes, and special events for the child(ren). 5. Qualifications 1 year experience in a childcare setting Course work/training in early childhood development a plus Child/infant CPR certified or willing to obtain knowledge of computer programs to perform clerical tasks: Google Applications, Outlook, Excel, Word and Internet Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must possess excellent customer service skills Flexible, energetic, and detail-oriented Able to juggle multiple duties Able to resolve conflicts Must be at least 18 years old Must be able to pass a criminal background
