Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF CHILDCARE
Oversees the management of preschool and/or school-age childcare programs, including developing and monitoring program operations, curriculum, alignment to high-quality standards and best practices. Ensures Childcare programs and services meet community needs to include supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding the program within the community as needed. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information. Recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity. Onboards and develops them for success. Manages staff members, including full-time employees, monitoring staff schedules, employee payroll, performance and coordinates human resource needs with the Managed Services Organization (MSO). Supports program and staff compliance to all safety standards, adhering to risk management and child abuse prevention policies. Monitors program deliverables to include the program budget to meet fiscal objectives; compiling program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in program; completing grant reports and required child assessments. Model relationship-building skills in all interactions. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations. Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility. Ensures programs and staff adhere to AZ Department of Health Services Childcare Facility Licensing and Department of Economic Services regulations, standards, and processes. May serve as branch Transportation Coordinator, ensuring that all bus and bus driver policies and procedures are met. Fill in as bus driver when needed. Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers. Attend required abuse risk management training. Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers. Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations. Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements. This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF CHILDCARE
: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. YMCA Team Leader certification preferred. One to two years related experience preferred. Minimum age of 21. Valid driver's license. Clear or acceptable Motor Vehicle Record that meets YMCA standards. Ability to pass a drug screening. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.PART TIME BENEFITS
