As an itavi employee you will represent the company values, practice of child care, ethical behavior, professionalism and maintain clear and open communication with the designated staff at the hotel and your team. The Lead is responsible for setting the standards, upholding itavi policies and ensuring the team complies/implements. Adhere to hotel partner hospitality standards and culture. Responsibilities Prioritize the safety and well-being of children. Implement and enforce necessary policies, procedures, emergency, safety protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Build a positive and supportive team culture, foster collaboration and open communication to support a culture of continuous learning. Provide ongoing training for staff to enhance their childcare and interpersonal skills, and offer clear direction and guidance to ensure a cohesive and effective team. Ensure team members are participating and certified in CPR training classes. Attend annual Forbes training. Provide excellent customer service to hotel partner management, employees, parents, guardians and guests. Build and develop positive relationships with children, parents, itavi and hotel team members. Participate in hotel meetings (rally's and trainings). Partner with the hotel concierge team, and build awareness of our Private Childcare Services (PCS) and kids' club. Train your team on how to bring visibility and awareness to the itavi services (Kids' Club and Private Childcare Services. Provide guests and concierge with sales collateral, maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and incidents. Use data analytics (attendance, revenue, if applicable, retention, family profile), to assess the success of programs, make informed decisions and be prepared to discuss with itavi management, as needed. Provide training and development for each child care professional. Provide quarterly reports on employee status and growth. Manage the hotel's booking reservation system (where applicable). Oversee itavi's daily internal attendance sheet, inventory sheet and hotel's daily summary reports. Stay informed and ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations. Work with itavi management to develop training topic tools. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment representative of the itavi brand. Assign responsibilities for the operations of the Kids' Club to the team. This includes but is not limited to: managing the thank you and trip advisor letters to parents, organization, ensuring the cleanliness of the club, promoting and building the itavi kids' club brand awareness, ensuring proper training of new hires and managing the inventory of materials used for programming. Handle challenging situations calmly and effectively with best resolve. Ensure all childcare professionals effectively communicate guest/child dissatisfaction to you or the hotel leadership team in a timely manner so that it can be resolved immediately. Track each team member's knowledge and awareness of new processes and policies, addressing non-compliance, and holding the team accountable when there are repeated issues. Adjust plans and activities to meet the needs and interests of the children. Ensure all junior guests are satisfied with the activities and crafts they are involved in. Produce projected number of WOW moments. Actively listen to the information guests/junior guests share and come up with wow stories accordingly to exceed guest expectations and personalize the experience. Explore new and innovative activities and incorporate ongoing feedback from guests and team members to keep the offerings fresh and appealing. Post/provide daily messages designed to motivate and empower staff. Ensure the seamless integration of itavi services at the hotels. Identify the best strategies to attract the highest number of children each day.
This includes staying informed about:
daily occupancy, hours of operation for different outlets, weather forecast, maintaining close communication with the hotel to identify high-traffic areas where children are located. Ensure the team is successful in "connecting" and gauging satisfaction of all guests/junior guests. Facilitate team meetings with the Director of Operations and participate in weekly calls. Provide weekly handovers to the Director of Operations. Be active in the promotion of itavi services by communicating regularly with guest services, hotel concierge, and management. Get recognized and encourage the team to get mentioned on hotel surveys and other social media platforms associated with the property. Partner with the hotel to implement best practices and structure for management of the Kids Club. Coordinate with the Programming Director to manage activations. Collaborate with itavi staff (Operations Director, Private Childcare Services Coordinator, Pop-Up Coordinator & Programming Director to implement monthly "touch base" calls scheduled to review any new policies/procedures/adjustments needed for growth and improvement of services and team development. Skills Obtain CPR certification within 60 days from date of hire. Proficient in MS Suite, Google Workspace, Appointment Setting and Digital Collaboration Platform. Ability to lead and motivate your team. Have strong communication skills that allow effective interactions with children, parents, and hotel staff. Able to clearly communicate expectations, updates, and important information. Possess excellent organizational skills. Manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a well-organized environment. Competent problem solving skills with the ability to quickly address and resolve issues that may arise, whether related to children's behavior, staff management, or facility concerns. Have the adaptability to know and handle unexpected changes or challenges. Ability to develop and implement creative and engaging activities for children. Ability to resolve. Address concerns and inquiries with professionalism and empathy. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role is physically active and requires the consistent movement throughout the shift: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (Several hours at a time) Must be able to lift, carry, and hold children up to 40 pounds safely Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching to interact with children at their level Ability to move quickly and respond to active children in indoor and outdoor environments Comfortable working in varied environments ( hotel room, playrooms, Poolsides, outdoor areas, event space ) Ability to push stollers, carry supplies, and set up activity equipment Must maintain constant visual and physical supervision of children Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of children by providing high-quality care and enrichment!
