A lovely young family based in Newport Beach / Costa Mesa, California, is seeking an experienced, warm, and proactive Nanny to support the care and development of their two children, primarily focusing on their baby girl, who will be approximately 10 months old at the start of the role in August 2026. The family also has a 4-year-old child. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, organised, receptive to feedback, and genuinely passionate about early years development. The family is particularly interested in candidates with knowledge of Montessori and Waldorf-inspired approaches who can create a calm, engaging, and developmentally supportive environment for the children. This is a long-term position suited to a mature and professional nanny who is seeking stability with a kind and respectful family.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing attentive and developmentally focused care, primarily for the youngest child Supporting developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities and routines Creating engaging educational and creative play inspired by Montessori and Waldorf philosophies Assisting with nursery organisation, children's laundry, and maintaining children's spaces Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children Managing routines including naps, feeding, outings, and activities Supporting occasional care and interaction with the older sibling Coordinating children's schedules and activities with the parents Packing and organising for family travel Maintaining open and professional communication with the parents Schedule Monday to Friday Approximately 40 hours per week Additional Information Driver preferred — vehicle provided for work-related duties Travel required: Approximately 3-4 weeks in the UK during summer Occasional shorter domestic trips within the

US Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience within private households Strong experience caring for babies and toddlers, particularly around the 10-month to 4-year age range Knowledge and understanding of Montessori and Waldorf-inspired childcare approaches Warm, nurturing, calm, and proactive personality Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to maintain routines Receptive to parental feedback and able to adapt to the family's parenting style and preferences Confident supporting developmental milestones through engaging and age-appropriate activities Comfortable working in a fully staffed household environment Flexible and travel-ready for both international and domestic trips Valid driver's licence with confident driving ability Strong communication skills and fluent English required Professional, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality at all times Seeking a long-term position and able to provide excellent checkable references
