Jovie Newport Beach:
Part-Time Nanny in Garden Grove (92845)
Schedule:
Mondays & Wednesdays, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM (14 guaranteed hours/week + additional hours as needed)
Pay:
$18-$20/hour base pay

Your Role A warm and welcoming family in Garden Grove is seeking a dependable, engaging, and proactive nanny for their two children: a son born in May 2023 and a daughter born in November 2025. The family needs care on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM and would love to find someone who may be available for occasional additional weekday hours. They are hoping to build a relationship with a flexible nanny who can commit for at least six months to one year. Dad travels frequently for work, and Mom is often home and involved with the children. They are looking for an extra set of hands who is upbeat and excited to become part of their support system.
Responsibilities include:
  • Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for both children throughout the day.
  • Following infant feeding, diapering, nap, and developmental routines for the baby.
  • Supporting infant development through tummy time, sensory activities, reading, music, and interactive play.
  • Engaging the toddler in educational, creative, and active play that promotes communication, independence, and social-emotional development.
  • Planning fun, screen-free activities and encouraging exploration and learning through play.
  • Taking the children on walks and outings to parks and other age-appropriate activities.
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children.
  • Washing bottles and maintaining children's eating areas.
  • Completing the children's laundry and helping keep children's bedrooms, toys, and play spaces organized.
  • Maintaining consistent routines and creating a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Communicating with parents regarding meals, naps, activities, milestones, and daily updates.
  • Working collaboratively alongside Mom while providing support with both children.
What's In It for You?
Competitive Pay:
Earn $18-$20/hour as your base rate, with occasional opportunities to earn $20-$25/hour through special assignments and events. Pay is issued via biweekly direct deposit, and you'd receive a W-2.
Overtime Pay:
Earn time-and-a-half for any hours worked beyond 8 hours in a single day if applicable.
Minimum Pay Protection:
If you're scheduled for a shift under four hours, you'll still be paid for four hours. If the family cancels after 5:00 PM the night before care, you'll receive four hours of pay.
Transportation Reimbursement:
When transporting children in your personal vehicle, mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile.
Vetted Family:
This placement is with a family we have personally met and screened. The household consists of Mom, Dad, two children, and one dog (husky).
Supportive Team:
Our management team is available and on-call to assist with questions and concerns. We strive to create successful matches and support our nannies every step of the way.
Group Events & Additional Opportunities:
Interested in earning extra income? We offer optional childcare events that pay higher rates, include travel bonuses, and provide a chance to connect with other caregivers.
Referral Bonus:
Earn $200 for every nanny you refer who is hired and remains with Jovie for at least 90 days.

Scheduling & Communication Professional Tools:
You'll use the MyJovie app to view upcoming assignments/additional opportunities as well as clock in and out.
Managing Your Availability:
Need a day off? We ask for notice by 4:30 PM the day before on weekdays. Weekend schedule adjustments should be communicated by 4:30 PM on Friday to avoid cancellation penalties.
Communication Style:
Communication is primarily through text message. Upon hire, you'll be added to a group chat with management and ownership. We value clear, honest, and timely communication and strive to build supportive relationships with every caregiver on our team.
Qualifications:
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • At least 18 years old
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Reliable, insured vehicle
  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified upon hire
  • Willing and able to pass a background check and fingerprinting
  • At least two years of childcare experience, including infant experience
  • Comfortable caring for both an infant and toddler
  • Must reside in Orange County or Los Angeles County
