Approximately 15 hours per week | Flexible scheduling Beverly — Make Every Day Meaningful Beverly is partnering with a warm, thoughtful family in San Francisco's Sunset District who is seeking a reliable, kind, and proactive Nanny + Household Administrative Assistant to support their home approximately 15 hours per week. This hybrid role combines hands-on childcare with light household and administrative support and is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing calm structure, organization, and care into a family's daily rhythm. The family has two sweet, well-behaved boys, ages 3 and 5. Both are potty trained, and the 5-year-old is beginning to read independently. The household values warmth, consistency, gentle structure, and respectful communication. The Role This is a blended position supporting both the children and the overall household flow. The caregiver will provide attentive evening and weekend childcare while also assisting with household administrative tasks that help keep day-to-day logistics running smoothly. The family is seeking someone who is warm, dependable, and proactive—comfortable managing two children independently in the evenings, while also organized and detail-oriented when handling administrative responsibilities. Flexibility and initiative are highly valued, and the family is happy to work around the right candidate's availability. The Schedule Approximately 15 hours per week total Two weeknights per week (evenings; flexible which nights) One weekend evening (Friday or Saturday) One weekend morning (Saturday or Sunday) Weekly hours typically include approximately: ~12 hours of childcare ~3-5 hours of household administrative support Scheduling is flexible and will be coordinated directly with the family. Key Responsibilities Childcare (Approx. 12 hours/week): Provide warm, attentive care for two boys, ages 3 and 5 Lead evening routines, including dinner, bath, story time, and bedtime Prepare simple, healthy meals for the children Engage in age-appropriate play, crafts, and reading Support early literacy, including reading practice with the 5-year-old Create a calm, positive, and predictable bedtime experience Assist with school or activity pick-ups and drop-offs when needed Manage transitions smoothly and maintain a gentle, structured environment Light Household Support (Child-Related): Clean up after dinner and children's meals Load and unload the dishwasher; wash dishes as needed Reset the kitchen and common areas after children's activities Support household routines while encouraging children's independence (children clean up their own toys each evening) Household Administrative Support (Approx. 3-5 hours/week): Manage and submit health insurance claims and reimbursements Track, organize, and maintain medical and household paperwork Pay household bills and monitor due dates Track and categorize household and business expenses Maintain simple digital records, receipts, and files Handle local errands such as pharmacy and dry-cleaning pickups Book and coordinate family travel (flights, accommodations, transportation) Research travel logistics and help coordinate childcare coverage during travel Ideal Candidate Qualifications Experience caring for preschool- and early school-aged children Warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with young children Responsible, punctual, and comfortable managing two children independently Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Comfortable balancing childcare with administrative and household tasks Tech-comfortable (email, spreadsheets, online portals, booking platforms) Strong communication skills and follow-through Has a car and is a safe, confident driver Able to handle confidential information with discretion Bonus (Not Required): Background in early childhood education Experience supporting early readers Prior family assistant, personal assistant, or household admin experience Family Dynamic This is a kind, intentional household that values warmth, consistency, and gentle structure.
