Homeschooling/Nanny Homeschooling, Santa Barbara or Marin Santa Barbara, CA Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Observation-based student assessment Montessori Certification Mid-level Classroom experience Montessori Nannying Classroom Teaching Leadership Full Job Description Homeschooling/Nanny Elementary (6-12) Listed 13 April 2026 Montessori Guide - Summer Micro-School July & August 2026 (Ages 5-6) We're looking for an experienced, AMI- or AMS-trained Montessori guide to lead a high-fidelity summer program for 2-3 children, ages 5-6, in a prepared environment. Dates & Hours Session 1: July 5-31 | Session 2: August 1-21 Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Location Flexible. We have homes in Santa Barbara/Ojai/Ventura and Marin County, CA. If you're based elsewhere and your location is a great place to spend the summer, we're open to coming to you. The Role You'll design and facilitate a genuine Montessori work cycle for a tiny cohort — not a watered-down camp, but a real classroom experience. This includes preparing the environment with appropriate materials across practical life, sensorial, language, math, and cultural areas; observing each child and following their developmental needs; and maintaining the unhurried, child-led rhythm that defines authentic Montessori practice. We'll cover all the costs of the materials. What We're Looking For AMI or AMS primary or early elementary certification Experience leading or co-leading a Montessori classroom Deep understanding of the normalized work cycle and how to protect it Comfort working independently with a very small group Warmth, groundedness, and genuine respect for children's autonomy Compensation Happy to pay a very competitive daily rate, commensurate with experience.
