A bit about us: We are a laid-back, creative, and communicative family who value kindness, curiosity, and cultural openness. We both work in entertainment, and one parent works from home most days. We enjoy maintaining a calm and mindful home environment and are looking for someone collaborative, proactive, and flexible. We also have two friendly small dogs in the home. Our 1-year-old daughter is an energetic, active toddler. She's cruising around and will be walking really soon. She is interested in everything! She loves climbing, playing in the sandbox, music, songs, and books!
A bit about you:
You are patient, calm, communicative, and highly engaging with toddlers. You LOVE getting to spend part of your week with a 1-year-old! You genuinely enjoy talking, reading, singing, going on walks, and planning age-appropriate activities that encourage development without relying on screens. You are proactive, organized, and comfortable communicating openly with parents while respecting family routines and preferences. You are flexible with working later when needed.
Job Duties:
All child-related care, including following the current schedule and feeding our child solid meals/snacks that we prep for her each day (including cutting food into more manageable pieces), diaper changes, following wake windows and nap routine, engaging in play-based learning, age-appropriate activities, going for walks, reading, sensory play, ensuring safety, light household tasks related to our daughter such as wiping down toys, wiping high chair, cleaning child's dishes and bottles, child's laundry, and communicating with parents. If comfortable driving, maybe some occasional driving to parks or other fun excursions.
Position Highlights:
W-2 Payroll Guaranteed Hours Accrued Sick Pay Time and a Half on Federal Holidays if asked to work
5 years of childcare experience with infants (12-24 months old), must be comfortable with dogs, CPR certification or willing to get, fluent in English, good communication skills, a reliable vehicle, valid Driver's License, open to a driving screen for employment, flexible to work additional hours on occasion or stay later, able to lift 30 lbs, and able to engage our child without screens.
Set yourself apart:
It would be a major bonus (though not required) if you have any kind of medical background, preschool teaching experience, or an education in Child Development.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday (8:30a-4:30p) Starts early July!
Duration:
Approximately 9 months
Pay:
$25-$30 an hour •All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
