Must have experience working in an STRTP setting and knowledge of California Licensing requirements. The Child Care Supervisor is responsible for facilitating supervision of child care counselors and ensures that all the residents are fully accounted for and involved in a daily preplanned treatment program.
Duties:
1. May act as Facility Manager 2. Ensure that all youth receive adequate supervision and that their personal hygiene needs are met 3. Assign Child Care Counselors to conduct daily room inspections and grounds security checks 4. Ensure that all Behavior and Special Incident Reports are fully completed and reported to the Facility Manager 5. Prepare all required paper work (i.e. population count sheets, room assignments, incentive sheets for merit ladder, and all other related paperwork) 6. Complete required hours of annual staff trainings; and maintain active CPR/First Aid/ProAct certifications 7. Participate in team meetings 8. Work weekends as required 9. Enforce all medication procedures 10. Enforce home-pass and visitation procedures and applies the Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard 11. Assist in the planning and coordination of rules and policies and enforce them 12. Supervise the serving of meals and snacks 13. Write behavior and special incident reports 14. Orientate new youth to the rules, regulations, and policies of the program 15. Provide visual supervision of youth requiring special one
Ensure the facility is clean and ready for inspection at all times and also inspect it for any damages 17. Transport minors in agency and personal vehicle as required 18. Ensure that each shift has adequate staff coverage 19. Obtain and maintain a valid class C California Driver's License (or class B as required) 20. Conduct daily vehicle inspection and complete inspection reports 21. Meet with Social Workers and/or Probation officers 22. Enforce Title 22 regulations 23. Participate in peer reviews 24. Participate in agency/program performance and quality improvement projects 25. Adhere to agency safety protocols 26. Perform other duties as drescribed by supervisor The Child Care Supervisor will be in charge of operating the facility in the absence of the
Group Home Administrator Position Requirements:
1. Must meet one of the following: a. Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree and one year experience working with youth or b. Three years of experience as an employee at a group home or STRTP 2. Ability to work with a culturally diverse clientele and staff 3. Valid California Driver's License and insurable driving record 4. Successful completion of a physical exam, TB test, and toxicology screen for substances 5. Criminal record and child abuse clearances
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/INTERACTIONS
Interfaces with all levels of management, staff, clients and families including other agency programs and partner agencies
PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have the visual, physical and technical ability to independently operate a variety of office equipment including the use of a computer. Will also require bending, stooping, filing, lifting of at least 50 lbs. or more and able to interrupt physical altercations. Ability to verbally communicate well with others. And Valid California drivers license and insurable driving record.
