Job Description
We are seeking an engaging, active, and creative nanny to care for their energetic 3-year-old son. The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and enjoys spending time outdoors while creating fun, screen-free activities that encourage learning and independence. This position is perfect for someone who can balance being a fun playmate with providing structure, consistency, and positive guidance. The family is looking for a nanny who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and creates a warm, supportive environment where their child can thrive. Duties and Responsibilities Provide attentive and engaging care for a 3-year-old child Pick up child from school and supervise afternoon activities Plan and lead creative, educational, and outdoor activities Encourage independence, positive behavior, and healthy routines Prepare meals and snacks for the child Assist with light meal preparation for the family Complete children's laundry Load and unload the dishwasher Vacuum high-traffic areas and help maintain general household tidiness Transport the child as needed using the family vehicle Travel with the family approximately once per quarter for 3-5 days at a time Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of professional childcare or nanny experience, preferably with toddlers Experience managing household-related childcare duties Active lifestyle and ability to keep up with an energetic 3-year-old through biking, hiking, outdoor play, and other physical activities Creative and engaging approach to childcare with a strong commitment to screen-free activities Excellent judgment, common sense, and ability to take initiative Strong professional and personal references Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire) High school diploma required; college degree preferred Authorized to work in the United States without restriction Willing to be paid legally and professionally Up-to-date on standard vaccinations
