Job Description

Part-Time Summer Camp Teachers Are you a college student or public-school teacher looking for summer work, that loves working with children, and desires to work in a fun and professional environment? If so, we encourage you to apply today! Willows Child Learning Center in Arapaho, CO is a licensed childcare center seeking Summer Camp Substitutes. To be
QUALIFIED
for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, CDA or higher , At least 6 months of documented experience,. Level 1 or 2 on Colorado Shines PDIS to be alone with children and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience! This is a full-time, seasonal position.
Employment Dates:
May 19th through August 13th
Required Shift:
Monday
  • Friday, Part-Time Compensation:
    $22
  • 24 an hour, based on education and experience
Our Hiring Process:
Resume screen Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes)
Offer Main Job Responsibilities:
Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate using current curriculum guides. Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently. Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children. Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom. Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May. Provide additional supervision of children during field trips and off-site activities. Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role. Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
