Responsible for leading, supervising, and engaging School-Age Child Care (SACC) students in activities; maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children; establishing and implementing behavior standards; assisting with training, guiding, and monitoring Activity Aides; and communicating with staff and families regarding program events, concerns, and issues. Upon hire it will be expected that candidates will attend all staff meetings, required district trainings and any and all trainings required to keep the candidate current and up to date for the State of Colorado annual mandatory Activity Leader requirements. Must have proof of Activity Leader Qualifications (at least 460 verifiable contact hours working with children 5-12 years of age),current CPR & First Aid certification preferred. Additional on-line training through Colorado Shines will be required upon hire and required before working with children. Additional duties will include weekly planning of group activities and crafts, daily cleaning of spaces used during a shift as well as cleaning/disinfecting of any equipment or toys used. Summer camp operates M-F 6:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. during the summer months and working hours are negotiable and flexible. School year operates Morning care M, T, Th, F 6:30 a.m.- 7:45 a.m. & Wed 6:30 a.m 8:45 a.m. After school care M-F 2:30pm-6:00pm. Starting salary is Grade 5 at $21.17 per hour
