1-2 year old childcare Nevaeh's Early Learning Academy 1141 US Highway 92 W, Auburndale, FL 33823 From $15 an hour - Full-time From $15 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated childcare professional to provide nurturing and engaging care for children aged 1 to 2 years old. In this vital role, you will create a safe, stimulating, and loving environment that promotes early childhood development and supports each child's unique needs. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay the foundation for healthy growth, learning, and joyful exploration during these formative years. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while working in a dynamic, supportive setting. Duties Supervise and care for children aged 1-2 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development Support children with daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns Apply early childhood education principles to promote developmental skills in a nurturing manner Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings Knowledge of childhood development stages specific to 1-2 year olds Classroom management skills tailored to young children's needs Familiarity with early childhood education practices and caregiving techniques Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is expected Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with families Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where little ones thrive!
