Love at the Core guides us as we care for children in a faith-filled, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and loved. In this rewarding role, you will help create a welcoming, engaging, and supportive environment for infants, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children during Sunday programming and worship experiences. We especially welcome candidates who are familiar with, appreciative of, or interested in the traditions, worship, and values of the Episcopal Church . If you are patient, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children's emotional growth, learning, and well-being, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Provide attentive, compassionate care for children during Sunday programming and worship services Co-regulate behavior using calm, responsive, developmentally appropriate practices Engage children in crafts, play-based learning, and age-appropriate activities Set up, organize, and clean up materials, supplies, and learning spaces Respond consistently and thoughtfully to children's individual needs Collaborate with team members to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment Share observations, insights, and best practices with colleagues and ministry leadership Follow all safety procedures and child protection policies Qualifications Patient, calm, kind, and compassionate demeanor Strong communication and collaboration skills Familiarity with child development and positive behavior support practices Comfortable working in a church or faith-based environment Familiarity with the Episcopal Church , liturgical worship, or church-based children's programming preferred Prior experience in childcare, education, paraprofessional support, babysitting, camps, preschool, or related environments preferred Experience supporting neurodivergent children, children with disabilities, or inclusive learning environments is welcomed but not required CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain) Requirements Background check required Interview required Completion of Praesidium Safe Church online training required upon hire Join us in creating joyful, meaningful experiences where children are known, supported, and loved within the life of an Episcopal faith community.
