This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while fostering a safe, nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and experienced in managing the needs of young children, including those with special needs or disabilities. This position is perfect for someone passionate about childcare and eager to contribute to a family's daily routine. Duties Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development Prepare healthy snacks and meals tailored to children's dietary needs and preferences Assist with homework, reading, and educational activities to support learning goals Ensure children's safety by monitoring their activities both indoors and outdoors Perform light housekeeping tasks related to children, including cleaning up after meals and tidying play areas Support children with disabilities or special needs by providing compassionate care and assistance as required Transport children safely to after-school activities, appointments, or playdates when necessary Administer basic first aid or CPR in case of minor injuries or emergencies, following proper protocols Qualifications Proven experience working with children in roles such as babysitting, nannying, daycare work, or teaching Knowledge of child development stages for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children Experience caring for children with ADHD is highly desirable Certification in CPR and First Aid from recognized organizations is required or willing to obtain upon hire Ability to cook nutritious meals and snacks suitable for young children Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and caregivers Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule during after-school hours Join us if you're passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a safe, joyful environment for children!
