Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the childcare facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood education standards and promote developmental milestones. Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, behavior management, and caregiving techniques. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and health standards related to childcare services. Coordinate enrollment processes, communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, and address any concerns promptly. Oversee staff scheduling, training programs—including first aid and special education certifications—and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative team environment that emphasizes professional growth, inclusivity, and exceptional care for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or requiring toddler or infant care. Experience Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or early childhood education programs. Demonstrated classroom experience managing groups of young children across various age ranges including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Strong background in childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Experience supervising or leading a team of childcare providers or educators. Knowledge of behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to create positive learning environments. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional qualifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable. Prior nannying or babysitting experience is beneficial for understanding individual child needs and caregiving nuances.
