Part Time Chicago, Illinois 60615 A warm, intentional family in Chicago is seeking a Household Assistant/Nanny to support a peaceful, screen-free household with two young children - a toddler and a preschooler. This role is ideal for a thoughtful, emotionally mature candidate who brings calm energy, proactive judgement, and a genuine love of supporting a well-run home. Monday-Saturday, 4 :00 P M to 9 :00 P M (30 hours/week guaranteed) Open to Monday - Friday schedule if preferred

ASAP Compensation:

$25.00 - $35.00/hour, gross paid on a W2 via an online payroll service

Key Responsibilities Childcare Responsibilities:

Engage children in enriching, screen-free play (arts, crafts, movement, reading, music). Provide attentive care for children, including feeding, diapering (for the toddler), naps, developmental routines (including potty training) Support simple family meal prep for children Maintain a calm, nurturing presence and model respectful communication and boundaries

Household Assistant Responsibilities:

Maintain household flow: resetting spaces, tidying common areas, ensuring daily order Oversee children's laundry Organize children's rooms, supplies, and play areas for safety and efficiency Assist with basic family meal prep, grocery lists, and restocking children's items Partner respectfully with the parent to maintain a peaceful, joy-filled home Provide occasional overnight care and travel support with advance notice

Ideal Candidate:

Experienced with young children; comfortable independently managing both children Emotionally grounded, calm, communicative and confident in a dynamic home Proactive and positive - sees what needs to be done and keeps the day flowing smoothly Thrives in a parent-led home with clear boundaries; understands professional direction CPR Certified (or willing to obtain before starting) Fluent in English; French and/or Spanish is a bonus Comfortable with occasional travel and overnight care TDAP vaccination required Additional Details Driving is not required though drivers are welcome Family vehicle available for approved child-related tasks The home is smoke-free and pet-free.
