Job Description

Overview A family is seeking a high-energy, Mandarin-speaking nanny to join an established caregiving team supporting two young toddlers. This is an excellent opportunity for a nanny who loves active play, early childhood development, language immersion, and creating engaging learning experiences throughout the day. The family follows a structured, development-focused approach and is seeking someone who is excited to actively participate in the children's growth through play, movement, language, social experiences, and daily routines. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, highly organized, and naturally nurturing. They enjoy being on the floor playing, leading activities, exploring the community, and helping young children develop confidence, independence, communication skills, and curiosity about the world around them. This is a collaborative household with multiple caregivers supporting the children. Success in the role requires excellent communication, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset. The schedule will guarantee 40 hours per week. Exact days and times to be determined. The family is conducting a nationwide search and is open to relocation candidates for the right long-term fit. Responsibilities Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for two toddlers in a Mandarin-speaking environment. Lead daily activities that support language development, early learning, social-emotional growth, and physical development. Engage children through reading, music, imaginative play, sensory activities, outdoor exploration, and age-appropriate enrichment. Prepare healthy meals and snacks while maintaining consistent routines for naps, meals, and daily transitions. Accompany children to classes, playdates, libraries, museums, appointments, and community activities. Support emerging independence and developmental milestones, including early self-care and potty training skills. Maintain organization and cleanliness of children's spaces, toys, supplies, and equipment. Track daily routines, developmental progress, and important observations using family communication systems. Collaborate closely with parents and other caregivers to provide consistency, continuity, and high-quality care. Proactively anticipate needs and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the children's routines. Qualifications Strong experience with toddlers and early childhood development. Energetic, physically active, and comfortable keeping up with two busy toddlers. Experience in daycare, preschool, nanny, or early childhood education settings preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Collaborative mindset and ability to work successfully within a team environment. Reliable, proactive, and highly attentive to detail. Background or personal interest in athletics, music, art, language development, or early childhood education is highly valued. Requirements Native or fluent Mandarin speaker required. 5+ years of professional childcare experience. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Able to provide excellent professional references. Comfortable working within a structured, development-focused environment. Willing to relocate for the right opportunity (relocation assistance may be considered). CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Comfortable using digital tools and applications to document routines and developmental progress.
