at Vitalie Jentimir in Wheeling, Illinois, United States Job Description Vitalie Jentimir (Wheeling, IL) seeks a Nanny to care for two children in a private household by providing daily supervision, age-appropriate care, and assistance with routine child-related needs.

Specific duties include:

organizing age-appropriate and educational play activities for children, such as building blocks, arts & crafts, and puzzles; taking children on weather-permitting walks and other outings, such as visits to neighborhood playgrounds, local aquarium, museum, grocery store, or similar; helping children develop basic life skills, such as eating, dressing, potty-training, or similar; reading to children and helping in the development of literacy/numeracy skills; aiding children with homework as necessary; planning and preparing nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for children; driving children to activities; dropping off/picking up from school as necessary; ensuring children take scheduled naps; performing light housekeeping related to the children (cleaning up toys, dishes, etc.); and running light family errands and performing various other tasks in order to ensure children's needs are met. Position requires First Aid Certification. Position requires a High School diploma, or foreign equivalent, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Nanny, Babysitter, or similar position in childcare. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: planning and engaging children in indoor and outdoor activities that support cognitive, emotional, and physical development; assisting children with daily routines and personal hygiene, including hand-washing, oral care, toileting, dressing, and mealtime routines; preparing simple, nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and parental instructions; monitoring children's health and safety and responding appropriately to minor injuries or emergencies; and using common household and childcare equipment, such as kitchen appliances, baby monitors, strollers, and safety devices.
