Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Aide to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting children's developmental needs through engaging activities, attentive caregiving, and effective classroom management. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a positive atmosphere where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn and grow. Duties Provide attentive care to children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts. Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to safety protocols, conducting regular environment checks, and responding promptly to any emergencies with first aid when necessary. Support classroom management by maintaining organized routines, encouraging positive behavior, and implementing behavior management strategies. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and special education professionals to support individual learning plans and developmental goals. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with health guidelines. Maintain detailed records of children's progress, activities, and any incidents or concerns to ensure transparent communication with families. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare settings, preschools, or as a nanny or babysitter is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in behavior management and safety procedures is advantageous. Classroom experience involving toddler care or infant care enhances your ability to meet diverse developmental needs. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a positive learning environment. Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
