B.M.C. Durfee High School B.M.C. Durfee High School Career & Technical Education Department Chapter 74 Early Education & Care Instructor B.M.C. Durfee High School is seeking a qualified and student-focused Early Education & Care (EEC) Instructor to join our Career and Technical Education Department. The successful candidate will provide classroom and hands-on instruction to high school students enrolled in our state-approved Chapter 74 Early Education & Care program.
Qualifications Required:
Massachusetts Chapter 74 Vocational Technical Teacher License in Early Education & Care or eligibility to obtain licensure. Minimum of five years of recent industry experience in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Preferred:
Massachusetts Early Education & Care (EEC) Lead Teacher Certification in: Infant/Toddler Preschool Experience supervising student teachers, interns, or work-based learning experiences. Experience working with high school students in a Career and Technical Education setting. Responsibilities Deliver standards-based instruction aligned with Massachusetts Chapter 74 frameworks. Provide hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for careers and post-secondary opportunities in Early Childhood Education. Supervise students in classroom, laboratory, and work-based learning environments. Maintain a safe, organized, and industry-relevant learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues, families, and industry partners to support student success. Participate in advisory committee activities, professional development, SkillsUSA and Chapter 74 program requirements. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the CTE Director to support the operation, growth, and success of the Early Education & Care program and the Career & Technical Education Department.
