Non- Exempt Reports to: S.A.C.C. Director Position Summary Supports the Director to insure the best possible learning experience for school age children in a safe and secure environment while maintaining confidentiality. Duties and Responsibilities (These duties and responsibilities are judged to be "essential functions" in terms of the Americans With Disabilities Act or ADA) Duties may include crafts, games, stories, lunchtime, etc. Assist in planning and organizing daily events. Monitor children on the playground. Communicate with community, staff, and students to answer questions, disseminate or explain information. Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

May be required to attend CPR/First Aid training.

Experience:

Experience working with children's groups and/or training in early childhood development or childcare, preferred.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of school policies and safety regulations, required.

Skills:

Good communication skills, required.

Abilities:

Ability to be caring, understanding, and friendly towards students, required. Ability to relate to children with special needs, required. Ability to read and interpret school policies and handbook, required. Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, required. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and community, required. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
