Childcare Staff

Be able to fill an assistant teaching role during mornings for preschool, as well as a caregiver role for child care in the afternoon. Fill the caregiver role for school-aged children as part of our latch key and summer care programs. Effectively implement and follow the daily schedule and routines in keeping with safety protocols and state child care licensing requirements. Help keep classroom facilities and equipment safe, clean and orderly. Be able to work opening or closing shifts if necessary. Must pass a full criminal background screening per State of Michigan child care licensing requirements

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma; experience in a child care center or child related field preferred. Display strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues Possess strong team-working skills Be able to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple daily tasks Have the flexibility to adapt and improvise daily plans to fit the needs of the group of children present Conduct oneself following the NAEYC Ethical Code of Conduct and follow State of Michigan child care licensing laws
