Job Summary:
The Before/After School Child Care Aide helps with the daily supervision and safety of school-age children outside of regular school hours. This role helps with leading age-appropriate activities and provides positive guidance. They will work collaboratively with program staff to support children's social, emotional and physical development while maintaining program policies and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent education Must be at least 18 years of age Positive attitude and rapport with students and staff Must be dependable, neat and organized Ability to follow directions and take initiative with activities

Able to independently handle the responsibilities of a group of children
  • up to 18 students , without assistance, while maintaining a safe environment during group activities Perform duties assigned by director Assist in promoting and supervising the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of each child Responsible for maintaining confidentiality for all school-related information Interact with children and parents in a positive, caring and concerned manner Able to independently handle the responsibilities of a group of children•up to 18 students, without assistance, while maintaining a safe environment during group activities Willingness and physically capable to walk distances and participate in playground activities Must follow all childcare license rules and regulations Assist with cleaning of high touch areas, tables/surfaces and toys to maintain a healthy environment.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking. The position requires occasional lifting of students, supplies and movement of classroom furnishings during the course of the school day. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with the possibility of some travel to other schools.
Schedule:
Shifts will vary in the following schedule range: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00 a.m.
  • 8:45 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.
  • 6:00 p.m. Wednesday 7:00 a.m.
  • 9:45 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.
  • 6:00 p.

Wages:
$15.45 per hour
Benefits:
Paid Time Off Bonus:
$500 per trimester with 90% attendance
